Mechanism Of Action Of Hucog 2000 IU HCG Injection
Hucog 2000 IU Injection contains Human chorionic Gonadotropin hormone as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. The mechanism of action of Hucog is different for different conditions:
In females: Human chorionic gonadotropins stimulate the production of gonadal steroid hormones by inducing the corpus luteum of the ovary to produce progesterone. The release of progesterone helps in the maturation of the oocyte and induces ovulation.
In males: In adult and adolescent men suffering from hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, HCG acts similar to LH and stimulates testosterone production in the Leydig cells and spermatogenesis in the seminiferous tubules. Stimulation of androgen production by HCG causes growth of secondary sex characteristics in males (e.g., deepening of voice, facial hair, etc.)
